Back to business after a very eventful few weekends. Fantastic to have more National Medals in the bag, so a massive well done to our Ultra crew who train away tirelessly ( literally) to get themselves in shape for the 50K runs.
Well done to the club in general for the expected high standard of organisation of the Meet and Train race and to the girls who took part. And well done to all the guys in Barca. Great times there as well
Next weekend is out First Parkrun Away Day. So we are going to Corkagh Parkrun. Hoping for a big turnout and for a coffee afterwards. More details midweek from Debbie Kelly and the Social Committee
Monday and Thursday
Usual easy run nights meeting at the Iona Centre ready to run at 7pm. There are a good number targetting half marathons in the spring so get some miles in midweek with plenty of company. Keep to safe and well lit routes and wear your hi viz or yellow jackets.
Tuesday and Wednesday
Its Death Hill!
Meet at Iona Centre ready to leave there at 6.55pm at the latest. Or if going to to the roundabout at the top of Stocking Lane, it is 7.10pm but please please be warmed up. Dont stand around up there. Keep moving.
We are doing ‘short’ hill reps. The usual crossing spot about 250m down . Jog down and work your butt off back up to the top again. Minimum of 8 reps, max of 14. Try to do one more tgan you did the last time we did this session. The effort must be in the uphill so take it slowly back down the hill. Please guide any new members trying this tough session for the first time.
