Getting back into training!

Hi all, after the heroics of last weekend ( Dublin Marathon 2018) for everyone associated within the club and beyond and also Peter Vincent’s post re establishing the club back up literally ten years ago and how far it has come along it got me thinking of the many people like me who were previously involved are able to run (or so I think anyway) got injured, came back got injured again then work or other commitments got in the way then the habit of not turning up to training….. or even thinking of coming back but looking at the training schedule and thinking I would love to go but I wont be near that level etc so I will stay away (Queue deep breath) All these thoughts go through your head. So with the permission of the club who are really behind this I am seeking out everyone past and current members who want to get back to training but feel they are not up to the current sessions or the 1 hour training sessions to ease back into training over the next couple of months with a view to getting back into the routine of the club sessions come January. The sessions will be on Mondays and Wednesdays. For me it is the ideal time now the marathon training is over etc. It is the intention to start this coming Monday 5th November at 7pm at the car park opposite the Speaker Connolly pub. The session will be circa 40 minutes or so gradually increasing all the time and will help for the transition into Club Sessions come January. If this appeals to you please comment interested below to gauge numbers and please pm me your contact details ie: phone numbers/email address so you can be informed of the session in advance etc. Also any members not on Facebook please pass the word onto them also.
